Hardworking 

• Hey! Hardworking here. I made some of my first appearances in Keagan's life around 4 or 5 years ago. 5th grade might be a young time for hard work to become a factor, but she was never exactly exceptional. As a matter of fact, she was what you could call completely average. Lying in limbo of tall and short, strong and weak, smart and struggling, between all of the attributes that people can excel in she remained blatantly in the middle. Beginning then, Keagan and I have worked our way up the latter on every sports team and through every classroom. While typically we work together pretty well, I have had several falling outs with Keags. She shuts me out and her days begin to circle around social media, junk food, and thinking life just isn't quite fair. However, in time she always comes back into my arms, knowing she's hit rock bottom. I have enjoyed watching Keagan on her up and down journey. I have faith that when we work together new potential can be achieved. Every drop of blood, every drop of sweat, every drop of sadness, they all come together to form her into the athlete and daughter she is. Working hand in hand with confidence and consistency, we always have ways to push K in ways that she might not love. The friend that you hate to hold you accountable, is the same friend you know you wouldn't be the same without. Personally, I think people have the wrong predisposition of me. While the expectation is for me to work hard in all aspects of life, I typically fairly laid back. While I enjoy our friendship, it is apparent that our relationship works based on how much effort Keagan puts in on the daily. Under coaches and parents watch we work like brother and sister. Now I'm just praying for the day she calls me on her Saturday off.    

Stubborn 

Today was amazing! Keagan and I got to spend so much time together. I'm so thankful for the morning argument that woke me up with a smile, Mom just HAS to know that her fashion choice for picture day was about ten years out of style. The whole world should know that 16 year old opinions weigh heavier than an aging women's. As Keagan has grown up, our relationship has become stronger and stronger - it's truly amazing! I think it might be because I am her biggest fan. I mean, she is ALWAYS right. Opinions, judgment, stereotypes; why change those when they are always totally appropriate and understanding? I assume she likes me too, given that i'm one of the few invited to all of her important relationships. Scream battles with parents? I've got a VIP pass. Late night fights with boyfriends? Front row seats baby. Exposing confrontation with long time best friends? I wouldn't miss it for the world. Anyways back to our day in the life! After the lovely little morning squabble, we both made our way to school and into first block. Mrs.Otto's class? Serious competition in this class, time to step my game up. Game on Mrs.Otto, let the battle of the K's begin!! Later that night we return home both exhausted and Keagan goes to sleep. I love her and she loves me right? Should I be worried that the only time she is truly happy is when I am watching from the sideline?

Spontaneous 

Welcome to Keagan's best and worst quality. I'm what could be described as a double edged sword. I am one of the few qualities that has been in Keagan's life from the day she was born. I am one of the traits that was hardwired into her brain being an ENTP (Extrovert, Intuition, Thinker, Processor) brain type. I linger in the background, waiting. Keagan has the patience of about 5 minutes before boredom sets in. That is where I come in, jumping into the open and looking for anything and everything that could serve as entertainment. Laughing, smiling, enjoying, these are the areas that I live for. Fortunately for Keagan, this means that at any given time I might develop the urge to go run a mile or workout till she wobbles in these knees. Spontaneous, unwarranted action bodes well on the court. Whatever it takes right? On the other hand, sometimes we get in a bit of trouble with the rules. So far we have learned that pulling unneeded all nighters, going out with crazy friends, and DEFINITELY sneaking out is a very very bad idea if you don't want to die. Nonetheless, we move forward (after being grounded for a long bit of time) and look for the next thing to catch out eyes. People say that as one matures, they grow out of being spontaneous, given that it is an irresponsible trait to have. However, I feel like I will always be a part of Keagan. Her ability to find light and entertainment in any situation is something that attracts people to her, its the matter of differentiating between what is right and what is wrong. For the record, ALL of our stupid ideas will make high quality stories later. Live life to the fullest!!
